Hello KOMMON readers,
We are Fred McNulty and Sunny Um, the Editors-in-Chief of KOMMON. The newsletter is taking a break this week was in celebration of Chuseok (추석), also known as hangawi (한가위), in Korea. This is the annual harvest festival, which begins on the 14th day of the 8th lunar month. This year, Chuseok runs from September 9 through 11 of the solar calendar.
The KOMMON newsletter will always be free to read, but it is unfortunately not free to produce. It costs money to host our website, pay for our domain name, and to use newsletter-distribution services. If you are able, please consider donating to KOMMON to keep the newsletter up and running. You can click here for the donation link.
Also - if you or someone you know is interested in applying for a position, please fill out this form.
Chuseok is always a great time to reflect on what one is thankful for. We are very lucky to not just work with a hardworking and dedicated staff, but also to have such thoughtful and generous readers.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
Fred McNulty and Sunny Um
Editors-in-Chief, KOMMON
