Have you ever dreamed of watching movies in a virtual reality, or working on a giant screen with just a headset? Well, Apple has just launched its first new product in seven years, the Vision Pro, a mixed reality headset that promises to change how we interact with the world. 🌎

The Vision Pro is not cheap, though. It costs $3,499 and can go up to $4,600 with accessories. It also has limited apps and battery life. But it offers an unmatched experience of immersive videos and 3D photos that will blow your mind. 🤯

2) Apple reports first sales growth in a year, but faces challenges in China

They finally broke their losing streak and posted their first sales growth in a year! 🎉 They made a lot of money from their App Store and other services, but they also faced some difficulties in China. 😕 They also launched their new product, the Vision Pro headset, which is supposed to be a game-changer in augmented reality. 😎 Do you want to try it out? 🙋‍♂️

3) Paytm, India's digital payments giant, faces a huge crisis after central bank crackdown

Do you know Paytm? It's a very popular app in India that lets you pay for almost anything with your phone. But it's in big trouble now. 😱 The central bank has stopped its banking services and its stock price has crashed by 77% since its IPO. Investors are losing faith in its future and customers are worried about their money. 😢

4) Jeff Bezos to sell $8.6 billion worth of Amazon stock

Jeff Bezos, the founder of Amazon and the richest person in the world, is planning to sell up to 50 million shares of his company over the next year. That's a lot of money! 😮 He says he has a trading plan that will end in 2025. Maybe he wants to spend more on his space company or his fashion choices. 🚀👗 Or maybe he just wants to avoid paying taxes in Washington state, where he used to live. 🤑 What do you think?

5) Social media CEOs apologize to families at Senate hearing, but parents demand action

Have you heard about the latest news on social media and online youth safety? 😮 Some parents of children who were harmed or died because of social media platforms confronted the CEOs of Meta, Snap, TikTok, Discord and X at a Senate hearing. They demanded the CEOs to meet with them and support new legislation to protect young users. The CEOs apologized, but some parents said it was not enough. 😢

3. Developer topics ✒️

Just 3 things a day! We selected topics from developers. 👀

1) The three types of time: a guide for programmers

Do you know the difference between instants, offsets, and zones? 🤔 If not, you might want to read this blog post by David Gilbertson. He explains the three types of time and how to handle them in code. You'll also learn the answer to a tricky riddle about Alice and Bob. 🧩

2) How to avoid feature flags spaghetti and keep your code clean

Hey, do you use feature flags in your projects? If yes, you might want to check out this blog post by Eliran Turgeman. He shares his pain points with current feature flags solutions and proposes some cool ideas to improve them. For example, he suggests using FF Trees to create connections between flags and control the flow of an entire feature with a single switch. He also wants to get notifications of inactive or fully open flags so that he can remove them from the code easily. Sounds interesting, right? 😎

3) Let futures be futures: A blog post about concurrency models

Hi there, are you interested in learning about different ways of doing concurrency in programming languages? If so, you might want to check out this blog post by withoutboats. It compares and contrasts the "future" or "promise" abstraction with the traditional thread model, and explains why futures are not just ersatz threads. It also discusses the pros and cons of using async/await syntax to work with futures. The blog post is very well-written and informative, and it references some other excellent posts on the topic. You will surely learn a lot from reading it. 😊
