안녕하세요. More Than Enough, MTE공동체의 대표 Anne Perry입니다.

1. MTE Community Activities During the Break

Our MTE community had a lot going on even during the break.

First, I want to express my deepest gratitude to everyone who prayed for, supported, and provided significant help during the process of finding a classroom location for MTE. Until last semester, our classroom was the living room of my home. However, due to noise between floors and parking issues, we urgently felt the need for a separate space outside of a private home. As we were searching to meet that need, through an unexpected connection with someone who attended the MTE Big Buddy Fundraising event on July 12th, they introduced us to the party room at the townhome where they reside. Following a meeting with the relevant personnel, we were able to use the space at a surprisingly low cost on the condition that we use it only one day a week, every Saturday.

We anticipate that MTE will grow further in this space, and that we will become more unified as we move a little closer to the beautiful image God created us to be. Once again, I sincerely thank Him for His work that made this entire process possible, and everyone who cooperated.

1. 방학 동안 MTE 공동체의 활동

저희 MTE 공동체는 방학 동안에도 많은 일들이 있었습니다.

먼저, MTE를 위해 기도해 주시고 후원해 주시며, 수업 장소를 찾는 과정에서 큰 도움을 주신 모든 분들께 깊이 감사드립니다. 지난 학기까지는 저희 집 거실이 교실이었지만, 층간 소음과 주차 문제로 인해 가정집이 아닌 별도의 공간이 필요함을 절실히 느끼게 되었습니다. 그 필요를 두고 찾던 중, 지난 7월 12일 MTE Big Buddy Fundraising 행사에 오셨던 한 분을 통해 뜻밖의 연결을 통해 그분이 거주하시는 타운홈의 파티룸을 소개해 주셨고, 이어 관계자와의 만남을 통해 매주 토요일 하루만 사용하는 조건으로 놀라울 만큼 저렴한 비용에 그 공간을 사용할 수 있게 되었습니다.

앞으로 이 공간에서 MTE는 더 성장해 나가며, 서로가 더욱 하나 되어 하나님께서 창조하신 아름다운 모습에 조금 더 가까이 다가가게 될 것을 기대합니다. 이 모든 과정을 가능하게 해 주신 그분의 일하심과 협조해 주신 모든 분들께 다시 한번 진심으로 감사의 마음을 전합니다.

July Camping: Porteau Cove Campground

In July, MTE held its own camping trip at the Porteau Cove Campground.

In that place, where nature and water meet, the children didn't have to be scolded to "be quiet" as they would indoors, making it a time of great rest and healing for both parents and children. In the spirit of the nature God created—and the purpose for which He called us to care for and steward it—the children enjoyed the joy of becoming one with nature and making friends with it.

That night, the children chatted quietly together, while the mothers gathered in one tent to look back on the MTE journey of the past ten months and share their vision for the future. It was a precious time where they specifically committed themselves to unite their efforts and dedicate themselves to the documentary project on August 9th.

7월 캠핑: Porteau Cove 캠핑장

7월 에는 MTE 자체 캠핑을 Porteau Cove 캠핑장에서 가졌습니다. 자연과 물이 함께 있는 그곳에서 아이들은 실내에서처럼 조용히 하라는 잔소리를 듣지 않아도 되어, 부모와 자녀 모두에게 큰 쉼과 치유의 시간이 되었습니다. 하나님께서 창조하신 자연, 그리고 우리를 그 자연을 돌보고 다스리라고 부르신 뜻 안에서, 아이들은 자연과 친구가 되어 하나가 되는 기쁨을 누렸습니다.

그날 밤 아이들은 도란도란 이야기를 나누었고, 엄마들은 한 텐트에 모여 지난 10개월 동안의 MTE 여정을 되돌아보며, 앞으로의 비전을 함께 나누었습니다. 특히 8월 9일 다큐멘터리 작업을 위해 마음을 합하고 헌신하기로 다짐하는 귀한 시간이 되었습니다.

August Camping at Alice Park

In August, we continued our community time in nature with a camping trip at Alice Park. Children and parents spent time together in the outdoors, continuing to support and encourage each other within the community.

During this special time, the documentary team also joined us. They captured footage of the children playing together and filmed a session where the mothers naturally shared the difficulties of raising their children. Additionally, they held a casual conversation with President Deok-il Lee.

8월에는 Alice Park에서 캠핑을 진행했습니다. 아이들과 부모들이 자연 속에서 함께 시간을 보내며, 공동체 안에서 서로를 지지하고 격려하는 시간을 이어갔습니다. 특별히 이 시간에는 다큐멘터리 팀이 함께 참여 하여 아이들이 함께 뛰노는 시간을 영상에 담기도 했으며 어머니들이 자연스럽게 자녀를 키우는 것에 대한 어려움을 나누는 시간과 함께 이덕일 사장님과 담소를 나누는 시간을 갖었습니다.

August 9th Lecture: "Flying with AI"

On August 9th, a lecture by Teacher Bong followed, under the theme “Flying with AI.” The lecture was filled with very practical and achievable content:

Week 1: Daily learning plans using AI
Week 2: Methods for connecting healthy media with learning
Week 3: Utilizing Social Development and case studies
Week 4: Preparation methods for tests and homework

As immigrants, there were times when we, as parents, felt powerless and even gave up when our children struggled with a slower pace in their studies due to language barriers. However, through this lecture, we saw hope that AI can practically assist our children’s learning. Furthermore, we began to dream of sharing this method within the MTE community and even the possibility of developing it into a structure for profit generation.

8월 9일에는 **“AI로 날다”**라는 주제로 봉쌤의 강의가 이어졌습니다. 강의는 매우 실제적이고 실현 가능한 내용으로 채워졌습니다.

• 1주차: AI를 활용한 매일 학습 플랜

• 2주차: 건전한 미디어 학습 연계 방법

• 3주차: Social Development 활용 및 사례 연구

• 4주차: 시험 준비와 숙제 대비 방법

특히 이민자로서 언어적 장벽을 가진 우리 아이들이 학습에서 느린 걸음으로 힘들어할 때, 부모로서 도울 수 있는 방법이 많지 않아 포기하던 순간들이 있었습니다. 그러나 이번 강의를 통해 AI가 자녀의 학습을 실제적으로 도울 수 있다는 희망을 보게 되었고, 나아가 MTE 공동체 안에서 이 방법을 서로 나누며, 더 나아가 수익 창출의 구조로 발전시킬 가능성까지 꿈꾸게 되었습니다.

5. Community and Vision

I realize once again that for anything to be accomplished, someone must dream the dream, someone must turn that dream into reality, and someone else must be the hands and feet that sustain that reality. Ultimately, the answer is community.

We hope to be a community that helps our Neurodivergent friends discover and awaken their hidden potential, where their limitations and unique traits are respected, and where they are supported by warm encouragement.

5. 공동체와 비전

저는 다시 한번 깨닫습니다. 어떤 일이 이루어지기 위해서는 누군가는 꿈을 꾸고, 누군가는 그 꿈을 현실로 만들며, 또 누군가는 그 현실을 함께 지탱해 줄 손과 발이 되어야 한다는 것을요. 결국 답은 공동체입니다.

우리는 우리 Neurodivergent 친구들이 자신의 한계와 특성을 존중받으며, 따뜻한 격려 속에서 숨어 있는 잠재력을 발견하고 깨워갈 수 있도록 돕는 공동체가 되기를 소망합니다.

6. Documentary Production: “A Voice of the Voiceless”

The production of the documentary, which took place throughout the month of August, was a journey of emotion and tears. Every mother who participated in the interviews shed tears when sharing the stories of their Neurodivergent children.

We extend our deep gratitude to President Deok-il Lee, the Cinematographer, and the Scriptwriter who visited each family, carrying heavy equipment, to conduct the interviews.

We sincerely pray that our stories will become “a voice of the voiceless.”

6. 다큐멘터리 제작: “A Voice of the Voiceless”

8월 한 달간 진행된 다큐멘터리 제작은 감동과 눈물의 여정이었습니다. 인터뷰를 참여 하신 모든 어머니들이 Neurodivergent 자녀들에 대한 이야기 앞에 눈물 흘리지 않으신 분들이 없었습니다. 각 가정을 찾아 무거운 장비를 들고 인터뷰를 진행해 주신 이덕일 대표님, 촬영 감독님, 시나리오 작가님께 깊은 감사를 드립니다. 우리의 이야기가 “a voice of the voiceless” (목소리 없는 이들의 목소리)가 되기를 간절히 기도합니다.

7. Children's Film Festival: Expressing Our Own Stories

As an extension of the documentary production, we held a film festival where our children personally created 3-minute videos about their experiences living as Neurodivergent individuals.

The children recorded their own voices using professional recording equipment and participated in the process of writing and editing for the actual video production.

This process was a time filled with both seriousness and moments of laughter and jumping for joy, making it a special experience in self-expression for the children.

We extend our deepest gratitude to Teacher Chunhong Bong for meeting with the children and guiding them with such patience.

Thanks to the teacher's dedication, the children were able to confidently present their own stories to the world, experiencing the joy of creation and a sense of accomplishment.

7. 아이들 영화제: 우리의 이야기를 스스로 표현하다

다큐멘터리 제작의 연장선으로, 우리 아이들이 Neurodivergent로 살아가는 이야기를 3분 영상으로 직접 만들어 보는 영화제를 진행했습니다.

아이들은 자신의 목소리를 전문 레코딩 장비에 녹음해 보고, 실제 영상 제작을 위해 글을 쓰고 편집하는 과정에도 참여했습니다. 이 과정은 진지함 속에서도 때로는 웃음과 방방 뛰는 즐거움이 함께 어우러진 시간으로, 아이들에게는 자신을 표현하는 특별한 경험이 되었습니다.

특히, 아이들을 만나며 인내심을 가지고 지도해 주신 봉춘홍 선생님께 깊은 감사를 드립니다. 선생님의 헌신 덕분에 아이들은 자신의 이야기를 자신 있게 세상에 내놓으며, 창작의 즐거움과 성취감을 경험할 수 있었습니다.

8. Preparing for the September Semester Opening

I am now busy preparing for the upcoming MTE September semester opening.

The first lecture will begin with a session dedicated to the children's mental health and emotional well-being. Following that, a professional fitness instructor will provide a lecture and exercise demonstration to teach them how to keep their bodies healthy as temples of God. The semester is planned to conclude with education on healthy sexual identity.

8. 9월 학기 개강 준비

이제 저는 다가오는 MTE 9월 학기 개강을 위해 분주히 준비하고 있습니다. 첫 강의는 아이들의 정신 건강과 정서적 웰빙을 위한 시간으로 시작됩니다. 이어서 전문 피트니스 강사의 강의와 운동 시연을 통해 하나님의 성전인 몸을 건강하게 지키는 법을 배우고, 마지막에는 건전한 성 정체성 교육으로 학기를 마무리할 예정입니다.

9. MTE's Hope

Our hope at MTE is to walk alongside Neurodivergent children so that they may be established as valuable individuals in this society, recognizing that their uniqueness is respected and acknowledged as part of God's special design.

💌 Through MTE's journey this summer and the upcoming September semester, we hope that our children and families will grow into a community that can embrace more people and offer practical direction for life. Your prayers and interest are a great source of strength and comfort to us.

9. MTE의 소망

저희 MTE는 신경다양성 아이들이 하나님의 특별한 디자인 속에서, 자신의 다름이 존중받고 인정받으며, 이 사회 속에서 귀한 인재로 세워지도록 함께 걸어가고자 합니다.
