왜 이 건을 골랐나. 기술이전 협상이나 IP 기반 투자·금융을 검토할 때 가치평가 기초를 아는 담당자가 있으면 외부 평가 보고서를 읽고 따져 묻기가 수월해집니다. 이번 주 안에 모집이 끝나므로 지금 결정하면 내부 결재부터 신청까지 이번 주에 마칠 수 있습니다.

Hello, and welcome to the first issue of IP Practice Radar. Each week we pick the notices from the Ministry of Intellectual Property (MOIP), the Korea Intellectual Property Protection Agency (KOIPA), the Korea Intellectual Property Strategy Agency (KISTA), and the Korea Invention Promotion Association (KIPA) that practitioners can act on right away. The most urgent deadline is Oct 19 (Mon), for the call for companies under the 2026 Anti-Counterfeiting Technology Adoption Support Program. If you are an exporting SME or mid-sized company, check that notice first.
Feature · Batch 26-2 IP Valuation Professional Training (Beginner): Program Plan and Call for Applicants (Oct 12 – Oct 23)
On Oct 7 (Wed), MOIP posted the program plan and call for applicants for Batch 26-2 of its IP Valuation Professional Training (Beginner). Applications run from Oct 12 (Mon) to Oct 23 (Fri). The course is aimed at patent attorneys and others interested in IP valuation, and members of the general public may also apply. Check the attached notice for the schedule, venue, and fees.
Why this one. In technology transfer negotiations or when reviewing IP-backed investment and financing, having someone on the team who understands valuation basics makes it much easier to read external valuation reports and push back on them. Applications close this week, so if you decide now you can get internal approval and submit your application within the week.
Who should act. Technology transfer staff at university industry-academic cooperation foundations, technology transaction practitioners, and in-house IP staff who handle or will soon handle valuation work should apply.
Three practical steps
1. Check the schedule, venue, fees, and how to apply in the notice.
2. Choose who will attend and get the internal approval needed for the training.
3. Submit your application before the Oct 23 (Fri) deadline and confirm it was received.

Call for Participating Companies: K-Brand Government Certification Program (Round 4)
On Oct 13, a KOIPA notice calling for participants in Round 4 of the K-Brand Government Certification Program was posted on the MOIP website. It is open to Korean corporations currently exporting products overseas (SMEs, mid-sized companies, and large companies). Large companies may participate on condition that they cover the full cost of adopting product authentication technology. Applications close on Oct 26 at 18:00.
