"See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland. -Isaiah 43:19
Warm greetings to everyone! I hope this message finds you well
It is already the last week of July. Time seems to pass by so quickly. I pray that you all stay healthy and refreshed amid the summer heat.
How is the second half of 2026 unfolding for you?
Having concluded a remarkably busy first half of the year, I am now preparing to embark on another new chapter. Over the past several months, I was truly blessed to connect with many people—sharing joy, learning together, and partaking in God's grace.
Looking back, I humbly confess that none of this was accomplished by my own strength, but entirely through God's sovereign plan and guidance. Through unexpected encounters and opportunities, I was able to witness firsthand how detailed and loving God’s hand is at work.
Therefore, today I would like to share with you how God has worked through my life in the first half of this year and the gracious blessings He has bestowed.
1. A New Mission Organization and My New Starting Point

Testimony of My Mission Training and Commissioning to India
As I prepared for my mission to India, I was receiving missionary training in Korea. Throughout this process, God opened my eyes to many things I had never realized before.
Through an introduction from my church pastor, I came to know The Four Winds, a missions community connected with Handong Global University. It was more than simply a place where I could learn about missions. It was a warm community where I could learn the heart of God and share the value of the Gospel with others.
The vision of The Four Winds is based on Mark 13:27:
“And he will send out the angels and gather his elect from the four winds, from the ends of the earth to the ends of the heavens.”— Mark 13:27
The Four Winds is an interdenominational overseas missions community established to share the Gospel with unreached people groups, especially those within the 10/40 Window. People with different gifts, backgrounds, and professions come together to participate in God’s mission.
As I received training there, I gradually began to understand more of God’s heart behind the question, “Why should we do missions?” Every week, gathering with fellow workers to share the Word and fellowship together became a great source of comfort and encouragement.
One of the most memorable parts of the training was one-on-one discipleship with a missionary. At first, because I had already spent about a year serving on the mission field, I thought I knew quite a lot about missions. But I realized that this was pride within me.
The more I received training, the more I realized how much I still had to learn. In particular, I began to recognize how easily my emotions could control me. I learned that the mission field is not a place where we can simply serve according to our emotions. It is a place where we must stand firmly upon the Word of God.
Through God’s Word, the missionary helped me recognize the thoughts, wounds, and hidden parts of my heart that had been hardened within me for a long time—even things I myself had not been aware of. Through that time, God began to reshape me. He gave me a desire to learn again and helped me develop a more humble heart.
I also completed the six-week FDS (Frontier Discipleship School). Through this training, I learned about the biblical foundation of the Great Commission, gained a deeper understanding of the mission field, and learned what it means to live as a missional disciple through my everyday life.
Then, in June, The Four Winds community gathered in Jeonju for a two-night, three-day time of worship. Young people from different parts of Korea came together because they loved God and desired to encounter Him more deeply.
What impacted me most was their deep hunger for God. Seeing so many young people offering their lives to God, praying with tears, and longing to encounter Him more deeply through worship challenged and inspired me greatly.
On the final day, there was a commissioning service where each person was sent out to their respective mission fields. At that service, I was also commissioned to Chennai, India, for two years. I was also called by The Four Winds to serve as an FM (Field Missionary).
At that moment, I became convinced once again that this was not simply a decision I had made for myself, but a place where God was calling me. I began to look forward with anticipation to what God would accomplish through my life, and I made a commitment to move forward in obedience to His calling with an even more humble heart.
Looking back, I realize that this entire journey was not a path I planned for myself. It was a journey that God faithfully led me through, one step at a time.
As I move forward into ministry in India, I trust that the same God who has led me this far will continue to walk with me. With that faith, I desire to continue moving forward in obedience to His calling.

3. Obedience and Calling
And once again, in July, God placed the heart of “obedience” in me. Following that prompting, I began to have a desire to worship again with the friends I had served alongside on Logos Hope.
When we gathered together for worship in Seoul last time, God poured out His great grace upon us. At that time, I suddenly found myself wondering:
“How will God bring together again people who served on Logos Hope at different times and with different callings?”
This time, we gathered again to worship in Pohang, a city by the sea. Through this time, God reminded us once again of obedience and calling. He Himself brought together people who longed to worship Him and gathered us in this place.
The seasons in which we served together were all different. Some of us joined the ship earlier, while others joined later. Yet God brought us together again as one community.
Although we were living in different places—Yeosu, Pohang, Seoul, Samcheok, and elsewhere—God brought us together once again so that we could worship Him together.
We did not gather simply because of a ship called Logos Hope. We gathered because Jesus has always been at the center of our lives.
Our ministry on the ship has ended, but our calling has not ended. We are still holding on to the same Gospel, worshiping God, and seeking to live for Him.
Through this time, I came to understand one thing more clearly:
Getting off the ship does not mean that our mission has ended. In many ways, that is where our real mission begins.
The places where God has sent us are our mission fields. Whether at school, in the workplace, at home, or wherever God has placed us, we are called to live as witnesses of Jesus.
Every moment we spent worshiping together, sharing our lives, and fellowshipping with one another in Pohang was a great blessing to me. I am thankful to God for everything He has done, and I give all the glory to Him alone.
4. Serving the Next Generation
In July, I also had the precious opportunity to serve at a youth retreat with Sujeong Church in Pohang, together with The Four Winds community.
God brought together young adults from different parts of Korea who love Jesus, and together we had the opportunity to serve the next generation through worship, the Word, and various recreational activities.
I also participated as a staff member and had the opportunity to spend time with the teenagers. At first, I was nervous and worried because it was my first time serving at a retreat for a church outside my own.
I wondered, “Will I be able to serve them well?”
But God turned my fear into peace. Although I went there to serve, I actually experienced an even greater blessing myself.
Through icebreakers and various activities, I was able to naturally connect with the teenagers, and I experienced God opening their hearts.
Through this ministry, God reminded me once again of how deeply He loves the next generation.
I am thankful to God for allowing us to complete the entire retreat by His grace.
Please continue to pray that the youth of Sujeong Church will grow to love Jesus more deeply and become a generation that lives as the light and salt of the world, faithfully following Him wherever He leads them.
3. God’s Plan

Finally, God has opened the door for me to go to Chennai, India. After a long journey of prayer and preparation, I will be leaving for Chennai on October 2. Looking back, I can see that this entire journey was not my own plan, but a journey of grace in which God has faithfully guided me one step at a time.
In India, I will be sharing the Gospel through baking ministry and business as mission. I plan to return to Korea temporarily in mid-November to apply for an employment visa. After spending about two months preparing for the visa, I plan to begin my ministry in India in earnest around mid-January.
By God’s grace, starting in March, I will also have the opportunity to teach baking at the MCC University Continuing Education Center in Chennai. Through this ministry, I hope not only to teach baking skills, but also to raise up disciples through the Gospel.
In addition, I am preparing to start a bakery business together with J-Ark. Through this business, I hope to share bread with local people and share the love of Jesus Christ and the Gospel through everyday relationships and encounters. I pray that the hands that make bread will become a pathway that opens people’s hearts, and that the love of Jesus will be shared with each person I meet.
I pray that the baking talent God has given me will not simply remain a skill, but become a tool for sharing the Gospel, and that wherever I go, the fragrance of Christ will flow through my life.
Just as William Carey became like a grain of wheat and planted the seeds of the Gospel in the land of India, I also sincerely hope to become a small and humble instrument held in God’s hands. I pray that seeds of the Gospel will be planted throughout India through my life, and that I will witness many people turning to Jesus.
From this point forward, I want to remember that God is the Lord of my life, and wherever He sends me, I want to obey and go.
I pray that this entire journey will not simply be my story, but a story of God’s mission being fulfilled through my life.
To God alone be all the glory.
Prayer Requests
1. Please pray that my relationship with God will grow deeper. Please pray that I will love God more than I love ministry, and that I will learn to walk closely with Him every day, living in an intimate relationship with God as with a friend.
2. Please pray that I will learn the language and culture of Chennai, India, and adapt well to my new environment. Please pray that I will serve the local people with the love of Jesus, understand their hearts and culture, and truly love them with genuine compassion.
3. Please pray that I will become a missionary who stands firmly on God’s Word in every situation. Please pray that I will hold on to God’s Word rather than being led by my own thoughts or emotions, live a life of obedience, and become someone who shares the Gospel through the way I live.
