Hello, everyone! How are you all doing?

By now, spring must be spreading its warmth in many countries. As for me, I have just arrived in Saint Lucia, embarking on a new season here. Each day feels like dwelling in the presence of God, and He continues to show me many things I have never experienced before, especially things I couldn't have encountered in Korea.

It has already been nine months since I came here. Looking back on this time, there is one word that has deeply taken root in my heart—serving. What does it truly mean to serve? Am I serving in the way God desires? What about my heart and my attitude? These are the questions I have been reflecting on during this season.

Meeting many people and experiencing different cultures has helped me gain a deeper understanding of service. I have come to realize that serving is not just about helping others; it is about embracing God's heart and acting in love. There were moments when serving felt exhausting and challenging, but even in those times, God comforted me and renewed my strength.

As I continue this journey on the ship and in the places I visit, I want to approach everyone I meet with a heart of service. I earnestly hope that through my small acts of service, God’s love will flow to those around me.

On Logos Hope, many different events take place, but among them, the Official Opening is one of the most significant and meaningful occasions. It is not just the beginning of an event; it is the moment when God’s new work unfolds for a city and a nation.

When the ship arrives at a port, all spaces open up, and the Book Fair is officially launched. This marks the moment when people are welcomed on board to explore books, engage in meaningful encounters, and experience new learning opportunities. During the Official Opening, key figures from the local community are invited to tour the ship and share in the vision that Logos Hope brings to their nation.

What makes this day even more special is the crew on board. Brothers and sisters from various countries wear their traditional attire and warmly welcome visitors in their native languages. The moment they joyfully call out, "Welcome to Logos Hope!" in different languages, it feels as if the whole world has come together as one to share God’s love.

This moment is more than just an event. Unlike other ships, Logos Hope is not just a physical space—it is a vessel carrying God’s love and hope. And the Official Opening is the very first step in allowing that love to flow into a new country and into the lives of new people.

Amid the cheers, smiles, and warm greetings of that day, we anticipate the incredible things that God will accomplish in this place.

Cultural Performance

On Logos Hope, many different events take place, but among them, "Meet the World" is an event with a special meaning. On this day, friends from all over the world aboard the ship come together to share and introduce their unique cultures in a precious time of fellowship.

Crew members from various countries form passionate groups and spend long hours practicing and preparing together. The Korean team presents the fan dance, showcasing the beauty of Korea, while friends from other countries also prepare traditional dances and music to perform on stage. This entire process is not just about preparing for a performance; it is a meaningful journey of learning and understanding each other’s cultures, coming together as one.

Finally, the day of "Meet the World" arrives. Many people from the local area are invited to come aboard Logos Hope. As they take their seats in the audience, behind the stage, the crew members hold hands, preparing for the final moments of anticipation and excitement. When the lights come on and the first performance begins, the ship fills with passion and joy.

This is not just a cultural performance. It is a moment of connection. We may speak different languages and have grown up in different environments, but here, we become one. Through the stage, we share our stories, and more importantly, we convey why this ship exists—that Logos Hope is not just a ship, but a place sailing with hope and love.

After the performance, you can feel the impact in the eyes of the audience. What once felt unfamiliar now leads to natural conversations filled with smiles, as we share cultures and hearts, growing closer in the process. Meet the World is not just an event; it becomes a small bridge connecting people and spreading God's love to the world.

Here, we are not just performers; we are people who carry and share love and hope. And that love will continue to flow to all the places this ship sails to.

Logos Hope Friend's Birthday Party

Praying After Listening to a Friend's Prayer Requests

Birthdays on Logos Hope are not just simple celebrations; they are a special time of worship, where we give thanks to God for sending a person into this world and guiding them throughout their life. Recently, we celebrated a dear friend's birthday. A birthday on Logos Hope is not just a celebration, but a moment overflowing with love and blessings, so everyone gathers with joy. The space may be small, but the hearts gathered there are warmer and more genuine than ever.

When the party begins, worship fills the air. It is a moment to praise God for the friend celebrating their birthday and for the way He has held their life in His hands up until now. It’s not just a song, but a heartfelt praise, as our voices come together to convey God's love.

The fun continues with games, laughter, and memories captured in photos. But the most touching moment comes when we hear the birthday friend’s prayer requests and gather to pray together. When they share their hopes, struggles, and prayer needs, everyone prays as one heart for them. Some quietly hold their hands, while others offer warm words of blessing, and sincere prayers flow from each of us. In that moment, we are not just colleagues but a family praying for one another in God’s love.

The birthday friend experiences not just celebration, but a deep sense of being loved and accompanied by God. And all of us present are reminded of how beautifully God’s love flows within our community.

Birthdays on Logos Hope are not just a day. They are a time to give thanks for the gift of life and to experience the love and blessings of the community. That’s why every birthday celebrated on this ship becomes a special memory, one that can never be experienced anywhere else in the world.

Farewells on Logos Hope are not just goodbyes; they are moments deeply etched in our hearts. We come from different countries and cultures, but here on the ship, we have become one family. We have laughed together, cried together, and walked the same path with a shared mission, so the moment of parting is not easy to face.

When we first met, we were strangers, but over time, we have come to deeply understand one another and become friends who can lean on each other and cry together during difficult times.

We sought God in prayer and shared countless stories on board. Over time, each of us has found a precious place in the depths of our hearts.

Now, however, the time for parting is approaching. As friends prepare to leave the ship, it’s not just their bags being packed—our hearts feel empty as well. Though we smile during the farewell, emotions swirl within us. Joy and sorrow intersect, and both regret and gratitude rise up together.

But parting is not only filled with sadness. Though we may walk different paths, we look to the same God and carry the same mission forward. The time we shared here is not the end, but the beginning of the next journey God has prepared for each of us.

The baking class is not just a lesson. There are times when I feel tired and worn out, but when I look back, I realize that it’s a time filled with God’s grace. I am deeply grateful that God uses this small space and is accomplishing amazing things through this time.

Above all, I am able to keep going because of the friends who are with me. I am truly thankful for those who trust me, follow along, and encourage me, even when I feel inadequate. What moves me even more is that this time is not just about making bread, but about sharing lives, testimonies, and faith with each other.

Especially, when I see the passion of my friends, I learn so much. Every effort they put into kneading the dough, striving to make better bread, warms my heart. It’s not only their passion for learning to bake, but also their sincere desire to experience God in this time together. This reminds me that this space is not just a class, but a place where God’s work is happening.

Many Memories with Sandy

There have been many encounters on Logos Hope, but my meeting with Sandy was like a special gift.

Sandy, who came from Open Door Church in Washington, DC, had previously served as part of the vision team in Cape Town. This time, she came to Logos Hope for a two-month dental ministry. When we first met, it felt like reconnecting with an old friend, and throughout our time together, I felt a deep sense of joy in my heart.

During my time with Sandy, I learned so much, but above all, I learned the deepest lesson of humility. Although she came for the dental ministry, she didn’t just focus on her own work. In the mornings, she helped out at the bakery, and in the afternoons, she selflessly served at the dental clinic. Watching her, I was reminded of what true service really is.

Sandy was always warm and quietly filled the gaps wherever needed. Sometimes, she was as gentle as a mother, and at other times, she laughed with me like a friend. In her, I saw the humility and love of Jesus, and I learned deeply how to serve others.

Now, as I part ways with Sandy, the love and lessons she has shared with me are deeply etched in my heart. One thing is certain: we serve the same God and walk the same path. Wherever we are, I believe that God will bring us together again and continue to write beautiful stories through us.

I am grateful for the love and wisdom of God that flowed through Sandy, and I give all the glory to God for allowing us to meet as a gift.

Bread's Ministry Through the Church

"This time, I went out for church ministry after a long time, and it was a great challenge for me."

"Especially this time, I served as a team leader, which meant taking on many new responsibilities. Since my English is not perfect yet, communication was not easy, and I faced many challenges while preparing for the ministry. Before going to the church, I had to contact the pastor directly to check what was needed, meet with the team members, hold meetings, and assign roles. This process was not easy at all."

"But above all, the biggest challenge was the presentation about Logos Hope. Normally, churches have screens, making it easy to explain with a video, but this church didn’t have one. At first, I felt overwhelmed, not knowing how to proceed. However, God gave me wisdom and helped me articulate everything clearly through words. Through this experience, I could clearly see God at work."

"Amazingly, everything went much more smoothly than I had expected. When I shared my testimony, the church friends opened their hearts and told me that they became more interested in missions. Some of them confessed that they were deeply touched by my story and said that they now have a desire to dedicate themselves to God."

"Through this ministry, I realized once again that it is not my weakness, but God's power that works. Even in my lack of language skills and experience, God personally opened the way and provided everything I needed. What touched me the most was that through me, someone was able to dream of missions and experience God's love more deeply."

"This church ministry was a time for me to learn humility and obedience, and it was a precious opportunity to experience firsthand the things God accomplished through me. Moving forward, I have made a decision to trust God in any situation and move forward with courage."

"Rest of the bread"

"I've been so busy with bakery ministry and various tasks that I've felt physically and mentally exhausted. Sometimes, in focusing on the ministry, I found myself lacking time to take care of myself, and I deeply realized the need for rest. I began to think that if I don't take care of my body, eventually the passion and energy for ministry might fade as well."

"So, I decided to take a break with my friends and rest outside for a while. Stepping away from the busy routine and spending time in a quiet place, feeling the nature, and refocusing my mind was truly a precious moment. At first, I thought it was just a simple break, but the meaning it brought was really significant."

"The conversations I shared with my friends, and the peace that God gave me during that time, were a great comfort to me. As the fatigue that had built up gradually eased and my heart became calm, I was reminded once again that God gives me rest at the right time and restores me through that rest."

"God gives us rest and prepares us through that rest so that He can work even more powerfully. In that realization, my passion for ministry was rekindled, and by God's grace, I gained the strength to take one more step forward. This small break was not just a rest, but a filling of God's love that He gave me."

"Prayer request"

"1. Please pray that Grenada would be protected from natural disasters (hurricanes, earthquakes, etc.) and that the people can live peacefully in a safe environment."

"2. In Grenada, there is a widespread breakdown of morals and families, along with a culture of openness regarding sexuality and teenage pregnancies. Many families have husbands working abroad while women are leading the households on their own. Please pray for this situation."

"3. Please pray that I may seek God's wisdom and endure through the various challenges and difficulties faced in the mission field, and be able to faithfully carry out the ministry entrusted to me."

"4. Please pray that the supporters of the mission ministry may grow in their faith as they support the work, and that they may joyfully serve, deeply recognizing that their support plays a vital role in the expansion of God's kingdom."

"5. I pray that the relocation of Jesus Hope Church (the sending church) to the new sanctuary will be in accordance with God's will. May the new sanctuary become a strong center for the church's ministry and worship, a space where God can be praised and served even more."
